Goods in Transit and Claims Policy

  1. Transit Protection
Restore Audio takes every precaution to ensure your equipment is securely packaged and handled during transit. Despite these measures, unforeseen incidents may occur. To provide peace of mind, all shipments are insured under our Goods in Transit (GIT) policy.

  2. Insurance Coverage and Excess
In the event of loss or damage to your equipment during transit:

    • Our insurance policy provides coverage for the declared value of the equipment.

    • This policy includes a £250 excess, which is the responsibility of the customer.

    • As a goodwill gesture, Restore Audio will contribute £100 toward this excess, leaving the customer responsible for the remaining £150.

  3. Claims Process

    • Customers must notify Restore Audio of any loss immediately upon receipt of the shipment or within [timeframe, e.g., 48 hours].

    • All claims are subject to the terms of the insurance policy, which requires the customer to provide documentation, including proof of value, photos of damage, and any other relevant information.

    • Claims will be processed through our insurance provider, and we will assist you in compiling and submitting the required documentation.

  4. Limitations of Liability

    • Restore Audio is not liable for any loss or damage not covered by the insurance policy or caused by the customer’s failure to provide accurate and timely information during the claims process.

    • Claims related to delays in transit or indirect losses, such as loss of income or event cancellations, are not covered under this policy.

  5. Customer Responsibility
By agreeing to use Restore Audio’s services, the customer acknowledges:

    • Their understanding of the insurance coverage terms and the applicable excess.

    • Their obligation to cooperate fully in the event of a claim, including providing all requested documentation promptly.

  6. Exclusions
Insurance exclusions may apply, as outlined in our provider's policy. Customers are encouraged to review these exclusions or request further details if needed.

  7. Changes to Insurance Terms
Restore Audio reserves the right to update the terms of this policy in line with changes to our insurance provider’s requirements. Any updates will be communicated to customers prior to implementation.
